Served as the point person to lure
Duke Energy to Fayette County. As a result Duke Energy's
$450 million investment was the largest in Fayette County history. |

A leader in the
effort to bring TeleTech to
Fayette County, creating 600 high-tech jobs. A move that has greatly
helped provide a source of economic growth. |

|
New and growing companies
created or retained more than 5000 jobs during Vicites' 12 year tenure in
office. Was also instrumental in bringing a new state prison to Luzerne
Township, that meant 400
more jobs to Fayette County residents. |

Vertex
Call Center |
|
|
Vicites helped to ensure that
when Vertex took over for Columbia Gas, instead of outsourcing 200
existing jobs, Vertex retained their presence in Fayette County - and
created 300 more jobs! |

Completion of the Mon-Fayette Expressway |

Worked tirelessly with
elected and Turnpike officials to advance Mon-Fayette Expressway
construction. Was also instrumental in having a
full-diamond interchange developed at Fan Hollow Road. |

Connellsville Airport Runway Extension |
|
|
Vicites is working
diligently with federal and state officials to help bring about a
Connellsville Airport runway extension. The runway will help provide
important travel links to commuters from across the county. |

County Business Park/Infrastructure |
|

Met with former governor
Tom Ridge and Governor Ed Rendell to secure $4 million in state funding
for
future business park development. Such funding will insure continued
business growth for a county that is certainly

|
Fayette County recently developed Phase I
of a 3-phase master site development plan for the 270-acre Fayette
County Business Park, located along Route 40. The business park has
already attracted 9 tenants, creating 140 jobs. |

Public Transportation Enhancement |
 |
Enhanced the county's
public transportation system, securing millions and millions in federal and state
grants to purchase new vehicles so far. The enhanced funding has helped
Fayette County's transportation system become one of the best rural
transit programs in Pennsylvania. |

Maximum Tourism Promotion |

 |
As co-chairman for the Fayette County
Strategic Plan, Vicites has worked with Fayette Forward's tourism
sub-committee to enhance and better coordinate tourism activities
throughout Fayette County. |

Worked with Fay-Penn to establish economic incentive
programs, including the Keystone Opportunity Zone, Federal Enterprise Community,
and State Enterprise Zone. |

Initiated the Youth Commission and County Crime Stoppers
chapter to support law enforcement's fight against crime. |

Instrumental in developing a
county Comprehensive Land-Use Plan. Part II of this plan will be completed
by the end of 2003. It will update the county zoning ordinance for future
development of the 32 municipalities that rely on the county for zoning
and planning. |

writers who secured millions in Federal and State grants for Fayette County. |
